📜 Section 60I Certificates
🕓 Issued: Always upon request
⌛ When: Issued (a) at conclusion of Mediation session; or
(b) if matter cannot progress to Mediation
💲 Cost: Free, always
Under the Family Law Act (and its Western Australian equivalent), parties seeking Parenting Orders are generally required to participate in Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) to obtain a s.60I Certificate before filing an application with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
If you mediate with us
We will issue your s.60I Certificate at the conclusion of your FDR, regardless of whether an agreement is reached.
If mediation does not proceed
We will issue your s.60I Certificate if you have completed your intake but the matter is unable to progress to FDR.
What type of certificate will you be issued?
There are five (5) types of s.60I Certificates, and the certificate issued to you will depend on the circumstances of your matter.
